RESEARCH INTERESTS

Bioscience is a multidisciplinary field integrating principles of physical, chemical, and biological sciences to enhance the understanding and analysis of living organisms. In the context of agrochemical research, bioefficacy and bioassay studies play a critical role in evaluating the biological performance and phytotoxic behaviour of pesticide formulations on various crops and plants.

These studies help generate reliable data, identify patterns, and interpret results essential for assessing the effectiveness and impact of agrochemicals. The primary focus lies in evaluating both in-house and sponsor-developed pesticide formulations for commercial viability and regulatory compliance.

This research is supported by a robust infrastructure, including a well-equipped bioassay laboratory, greenhouse/glasshouse facilities, and experimental field trial plots. Core research interests involve assessing the bioefficacy of new formulations, monitoring crop responses, and detecting phytotoxic effects under both controlled and field conditions. The data generated from these studies provide a scientific basis for determining the suitability of formulations for agricultural use.
