Research Interests

  1. Development of new analytical methods for determination of pesticides, heavy metals, organic pollutants etc.
  2. Determination of Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA).
  3. Physico-chemical standardization and impurity profiling of new pesticide molecules/formulations.
  4. Five batch analysis and pesticide residue analysis as per GLP/NABL.
  5. Working with sophisticated instruments like NMR, Prep-LCMS, LC-HRMS, LC-ICPMS, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, GCMS, HPLC, GC-(ECD/NPD/FPD), UV, FTIR etc.
  6. Method development and validation for qualitative and quantitative analysis of pesticides and formulations using GC, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, HPLC, LC-MS/MS, UV and classical methods.
  7. Multi-pesticide residue analysis from food commodities and environmental samples using GC, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS.
  8. Characterization using IR, NMR (500 MHz) and UV-Visible Spectrophotometer.
  9. Heavy metal estimation using LC-ICP-MS.
  10. Regulatory requirements as per ISO and GLP.
  11. D. Technical Manager and Study Director in NABL and GLP accredited Lab.

Research Highlights

  1. GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS methods for pesticide residue analysis and risk assessment.
  2. Modified QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe) method for sample preparation and pesticide extraction.
  3. Handling high-end instruments for analytical testing and R&D purposes.
  4. Sample preparation and analysis of CWC and other chemicals.
